If you wanted to do the same thing for less money, you could connect your pumps to a heavy-duty power inverter like the kind you’d find in a car, connect that to one or two car batteries (make sure to connect them in parallel instead of series so that the capacity grows instead of the volts), and put that on a float charger with enough amps to keep the system charged. You could also go out and buy a big UPS.
